Stock Market Closing: Indian stock markets closed down due to fears of Fed raising interest rates

Stock Market Closing On 21st September 2022: The Indian stock market saw a decline in Wednesday’s trading session in view of the two days of spectacular gains and the Federal Reserve meeting. Indian closed with a fall due to profit-booking of investors. At the end of trading today, the Sensex of Mumbai Stock Exchange declined by 262 points to 59,456 and the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed down by 97 points at 17,718 points.

In today’s trading session, all sectors except the FMCG sector saw selling. Shares of Bank Nifty, Nifty Auto, Nifty IT, Oil and Gas Sector, Consumer Durables also closed with a fall. Of the 50 stocks of Nifty, only 13 stocks closed in the green, the remaining 37 stocks fell. So out of 30 stocks of Sensex, only seven shares closed in green mark, while remaining 23 shares closed in red mark.

A total of 3587 shares were traded on the BSE, in which 1290 shares rose and 2169 shares closed in the red mark. There is no change in the price of 128 shares. In today’s trading session, 276 shares had upper circuit while 208 shares closed with lower circuit. The market capitalization of the stock market has come down to Rs 281.18 lakh crore.

In today’s trading session, HUL 1.55 per cent, ITC 1.53 per cent, Bajaj Finance 0.76 per cent, Tech Mahindra 0.51 per cent, Reliance 0.29 per cent, Mahindra 0.27 per cent, Nestle 0.14 per cent higher.

falling stocks
If we look at the falling stocks, IndusInd Bank has closed with a decline of 3.19 percent, Power Grid 2.64 percent, UltraTech Cement 2.40 percent, Larsen 1.89 percent, NTPC 1.93 percent, HCL Tech 1.41 percent.
