Chinese Apps Blocked: Indian government has banned more than 200 Chinese apps. Actually, these apps were wrongly trapping people in the trap of loans and then huge recovery was being made from them. These apps were also not correct in terms of the security of the country. The Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has blocked 138 betting apps and 94 loan apps with immediate effect. For the last 6 months, the Ministry of Home Affairs had started monitoring more than 200 Chinese apps. Out of these, there are about 94 apps which are present on the Play Store and others were working through third party links.

Loan was available without KYC

The Government of India has banned many apps even before this. The Ministry of Home Affairs told in its report that these loan apps used to steal the personal information of the users as well as keep an eye on the functioning of the government. These apps used to give loans easily to the people without paperwork and KYC and then used to increase the interest up to 3000% annually. When people could not repay the loan, they were blackmailed and threatened to make their pictures viral. It has also been told in the report that many people have even committed suicide because of these apps.
More than 100 apps have already been blocked
Let me tell you, in the year 2022, the Government of India had banned 54 Chinese apps. All these apps were posing a threat to Indian security. At that time, the government had banned many applications like Game Garena, Free Fire and App Lock, which were usually seen in every person’s phone at that time. Earlier in the year 2020, India had banned 59 Chinese apps like Tick-Talk, V-Chat, Hello etc. in the country for security reasons. Once again, taking major action, the government has blocked 232 apps from China. In a way, the government has done a digital surgical strike on China.
Money killed thousands of people!
Actually, in these betting apps, some people add money to the wallet so that they can invest money in the game from time to time. Now when the government has suddenly banned 138 betting apps with immediate effect, then those who had added money to their wallet may lose their money. That means they will not get their money back now.
