It would be best for India to keep Pant out of the team for the T20 World Cup, know why Jaffer said so

T20 World Cup 2022 Team India Rishabh Pant: The Indian cricket team has selected Rishabh Pant as a wicket-keeper batsman for the T20 World Cup 2022. Along with Pant, Dinesh Karthik has also been included in the team. But former veteran Indian player Wasim Jaffer believes that Pant does not fit in Team India. He said that Pant’s performance in the middle order is not good. Dinesh Karthik should play before him.

Jaffer said, “India should see whether Pant plays or not. Team India’s think tank wants to keep Pant inside. We have discussed it many times that they are the best. He has given match winning performance in Test and ODI cricket. But they are not able to do T20 International better. India should think whether to keep Pant in the top six or give a chance to Dinesh Karthik.

He said, “The best place for his batting is in the opening slot. I think leaving Pant for the T20 World Cup 2022 would have been the best decision for India.” Jaffer said, “I think Axar Patel has done well for some time now. So I don’t know why Team India didn’t trust him.

It is worth noting that Team India will play a series against Australia and South Africa before the T20 World Cup 2022. The first match of the T20 series against Australia will be played in Mohali on Tuesday. The last match of this series will be played on 25 September in Hyderabad. After this the series will start against South Africa.
