Big fall in stock market, Sensex falls 280 points below 60,400, Nifty opens at 17,755

Stock Market Opening: Today’s start of the Indian stock markets has started with a decline. Last night’s strong fall in American markets is affecting the domestic markets as well and they opened with weakness. Talking about the US market, this tomorrow year 2023 has closed at its lowest level.

In today’s opening, the BSE’s 30-share index Sensex opened at 60,391.86 after a fall of 280.86 points, or 0.46 per cent. On the other hand, the NSE’s 50-share index Nifty opened at 17,755.35, down 71.35 points, or 0.40 per cent.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, only 3 stocks are seeing a boom and these stocks are Sun Pharma, L&T and HUL. On the other hand, if we talk about Nifty, only 10 out of 50 stocks have an edge and 40 stocks are trading with a decline.

The names of Nestle, Axis Bank, ITC, M&M, Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, HDFC, Bharti Airtel, NTPC, Asian Paints, HDFC Bank, Titan, TCS and Kotak Mahindra Bank were among the top losers on the Sensex.

How was the market move in pre-opening

Today, Sensex and Nifty were trading with a decline in the pre-opening of the market. NSE’s Nifty was at the level of 17755.75 with a decline of 70.95 points i.e. 0.40 per cent. At the same time, the Sensex of BSE was trading at the level of 60404.07 with a decline of 268.65 points i.e. 0.44 percent.
