Ingredients to make Butter Naan

2 tbsp butter

3/4 tsp salt

1 tbsp butter

3 cups whole wheat flour

1 tbsp sugar

1/2 tsp yeast

water as required

4 tbsp curd

Take a bowl and mix yeast, sugar and water in it. Then, add 1 cup all purpose flour and whisk it with the yeast mixture. Cover it and keep it for 45 minutes. Add remaining flour, salt, butter and curd. Knead it into soft and smooth dough. Cover the dough and keep it for 25 to 30 minutes. After this divide the dough into balls and keep it aside for 20 minutes.

Dust the dough with flour and sprinkle some fennel seeds on it. Roll the balls into naan with a rolling pin. Then heat a griddle and put naan on it. Turn it over and when you see some bubble on the naan, lift it with a pair of tongs and place the side which was cooked first towards the fire. Flip it over to cook on both the sides and make sure that it does not burn too much. When brown spots appear on the naan, take it off the flame.

Butter Naan is ready to serve
