However, ‘Mankading’ is not an official name.
What does the ICC rule say?
Actually, in the year 2017, the rule on ‘Mankading’ was made. According to this rule, the bowler is allowed to run out a batsman standing at the non-striker’s end, but only after he has fully guessed the ball. If the bowler fails to run out the non-striker at that time, the umpire will declare that ball a dead ball.
