Stock Market Closing: Trading in the domestic stock market has closed today with a strong boom and yesterday’s vigorous trend continued even today. The market was also off to a great start and the Sensex opened above 61,000. Trading was also open in Nifty above 18,000 and it maintained its gains during the day.

In today’s trading, the BSE 30-share index Sensex has managed to close at 61,121 with a gain of 374.76 points, or 0.62 percent. On the other hand, the Nifty of NSE has closed at 18,145.40 with a jump of 133.20 points or 0.74 percent. However, the momentum that was being seen in Bank Nifty this morning disappeared by the end of the business and Bank Nifty has closed in the red mark by slipping.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 26 stocks have closed with a rise and 4 stocks have closed with a red mark of decline. On the other hand, out of 50 Nifty stocks, 38 stocks rose and 12 stocks declined.

Today there was a decline in the bank and media sectors, but metal stocks closed with a jump of 2.38 percent. Pharma stocks gained 2.12 per cent and the Healthcare index closed the trade with a jump of 1.93 per cent. IT stocks closed trading with a strength of 1.89 percent.

If we look at the Sensex’s rising stocks today, NTPC, PowerGrid, Infosys, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories were among the top gainers. TCS, UltraTech Cement, HCL Tech, Sun Pharma, Wipro, HDFC, Bajaj Finserv and HDFC also closed in the green. HDFC Bank, Nestle, Bajaj Finance, Tech Mahindra, IndusInd Bank, M&M, SBI, Bharti Airtel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, HUL, L&T, ITC, ICICI Bank and Titan have seen a strong jump.
Today’s falling stock names
If we look at the names of the stocks that fell on the BSE today, the shares of Tata Steel, Axis Bank, Reliance Industries and Maruti have seen a decline. If we look at the top losers in Nifty, the trading has closed with the fall in the shares of Axis Bank, UPL, Eicher Motors, Maruti and Reliance Industries.
