Stock Market Closing On 25th October 2022: The first trading session of Samvat 2079 has been disappointing for the Indian stock market and its investors. Both the major indices closed with a fall due to profit-booking in the stock market. The Mumbai Stock Exchange’s index Sensex fell by 287 points to 59,543 and the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed 74 points down at 17,656 points. There is a holiday in the stock market on Wednesday and due to this there will be no business.

Sector’s condition
In today’s trading session, stocks of sectors like IT, Auto, Public Sector Banks, Pharma, Metals, Oil and Gas rose, while the shares of sectors like Banking, Consumer Durables, Energy, Media declined. While there was a fall in the small cap stocks, the midcap stocks saw a rise. Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 21 stocks have closed in the green, while 29 shares closed with a fall. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 10 stocks closed with a gain, while 20 stocks have fallen.

If we look at the stocks which were up at the end of today’s trading, then Tech Mahindra 3.39 percent, Maruti Suzuki 2.78 percent, Larsen 1.98 percent, Dr Reddy 1.52 percent, SBI 1.37 percent, NTPC 1.14 percent, Mahindra 0.81 percent, Infosys 0.57 percent, UltraTech Cement closed with a gain of 0.42 percent.

Looking at the declining stocks, Nestle 2.83 percent, HUL 2.71 percent, Bajaj Finserv 2.55 percent, Kotak Mahindra 2.52 percent, HDFC 1.59 percent, Reliance 1.53 percent, Bajaj Finance 1.44 percent, Asian Paints 1.18 percent, IndusInd Bank down 0.83 percent. Closed together. In today’s trading session, the market cap of listed companies on BSE has been Rs 275.62 lakh crore.
