IRMSE Exam 2023: There is big news for railway candidates. Now Indian Railway Management Service Exam (IRMSE 2023) will not be organized by Railways but UPSC i.e. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the exam. The Ministry of Railways has given this responsibility to UPSC. This rule will be applicable from the next year i.e. from the year 2023. The Ministry of Railways said that the recruitment for the Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) will be done through a specially designed examination. UPSC will conduct this recruitment exam from 2023.
Exam will be held in two phases
IRMCSE exam will be conducted in two phases. First the pre-examination will be conducted and through this the candidates who will be screened i.e. the candidates who will be selected will give the mains exam. After this there will be the next stage exam.
The main exam will be divided into several parts, the main ones are qualifying papers, optional subject papers for merit and personality test.

This paper will be divided into two parts
The qualifying paper will be divided into two parts. Paper A will be of any one Indian language selected by the candidates and Paper B will be of English language. Both these papers will be of 300 marks.
In the optional subject paper, candidates will have to choose from Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Commerce & Accountancy. Candidates will have to choose any two of these subjects. Each subject will be of 250 marks.
At the end there will be a personality test
After the optional subjects paper, the candidates will have to appear for the personality test. The Personality Test will be of 100 marks. The syllabus for these papers will be through the Civil Services Exam only.
