Former New Zealand all-rounder Scott Styris has been a part of the IPL team Chennai Super Kings. He has shared an interesting anecdote related to Albie Morkel’s father. Talking to Geo Cinema, Scott Styris said, ‘It was the season of 2011-12. Albie Morkel’s father had never seen India. Chennai Super Kings had booked a business class ticket for his father. Due to which Alby’s father could see his son playing for CSK.
Had hit a six of 105 meters
Albie Morkel played many seasons for Chennai Super Kings. In the year 2010, when Chennai Super Kings won the title, Albee was a part of the CSK team at that time. Then he did a lot with his batting and bowling. In the same year, he made a record partnership with Murali Vijay for the third wicket against Rajasthan Royals. Albie Morkel was the Super Six winner of the tournament in 2012 IPL. That year he hit the longest six of IPL of 105 meters. In the same year, Morkel scored 28 runs in one over of Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bangalore.
