How to do Ghatasthapana
- Navratri preparations should be done a day in advance. For this, clean the entire house on 25 September 2022 itself.
Purify the whole house by sprinkling Gangajal, remove vengeful food - This time on the Pratipada date of Navratri, the time for Ghatasthapana is in the morning, so wear white clothes after taking a bath before sunrise.
Mother Shailputri will be worshiped on the first day and the white color is very dear to the Goddess. - Put a layer of clean soil in the earthen pot and sow seven types of grains in it.
- Taking the resolution of the fast, spread red cloth on the puja post in the northeast and establish the picture of Goddess Durga.

- Make a swastika from roli on the kalash, tie a moli and put 5 pallavs of mango or Ashoka in it. Keep in mind that the mouth of the Kalash is not open, cover it with a lid and fill rice in it.
- Wrap a red chunari on a coconut with hair and tie it with a molly and keep it on top of the Kalash. Coconut is considered a symbol of Ganesha, as well as the Tridev resides in it.
- Now place the barley pot and urn in front of the photo of Maa Durga. While setting up the urn, say these mantras – Om aa jighra kalasham mahya tva vishantvindavah. Punarurja ni vartasva sa na sahasram dhukshvorudhara payaswati punarma vistadayih.
- Lay out the Ashtadal on the post and keep the Akhand Jyoti in the igneous angle. By lighting the eternal flame in Navratri, Maa Durga accepts every prayer of the devotee.

Rules for sowing the sorghum of Ghatasthapana – Method
- In Navratri, sow the jowar in an earthen pot. For this, use only the soil of the river, pond or temple.
- Wash the earthen pot with water and then make a swastika with kumkum in it.
- Now put a layer of soil in the pot and spread the barley in it so that it does not gather in one place. put soil on top
- Give a few splashes of water. Keep sprinkling water regularly for 9 days. When the tides rise a little, tie them with the help of Molly so that they do not fall.
