This food is considered very pure and holy. On this day one meal containing salt is taken. Basically taking a bath is related to purity. In this, the devotees keep the fast of Chhath by making themselves sattvik and pure.

  • On this day, fasting people take food only once. The salt-rich food of the first day is prepared with cleanliness and purity. Keep in mind that while cooking food, do not use mixed things.
  • Those who do not fast at home on the four days of Chhath also have to eat sattvik food. Consumption of meat and liquor is prohibited. Also follow celibacy.
