The number of children who died of measles in Jharkhand is also more than 60 percent of the total deaths in the country. In the last week of November itself, two children died of measles in Giridih district, while nine children have died in the whole of Jharkhand so far. According to the sources of the Union Health Ministry, this year Jharkhand has been the most affected state by Measles. A total of 14 children have died of measles across the country so far, out of which 9 deaths have been registered in Jharkhand.

Its symptoms include rash on the body, fever, runny nose, red eyes, cough and appearance of rashes on the body. It is called Measles in English.
