Market Cap: The market cap of six of the top 10 Sensex companies increased by Rs 1.13 lakh crore

Market Capitalization: The market capitalization (market cap) of six of the top 10 Sensex companies collectively increased by Rs 1,13,703.82 crore last week. Reliance Industries was the biggest gainer. Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex gained 758.95 points or 1.21 per cent. On Friday, the Sensex closed at a record level of 63,384.58 points, up 466.95 points or 0.74 per cent.

Which companies have increased market cap – which has decreased

There was an increase in the market capitalization of Reliance Industries, Hindustan Unilever Limited, ITC, Infosys, HDFC and Bharti Airtel during the last week. On the other hand, the market capitalization of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and State Bank of India (SBI) decreased.

Reliance-HUL gets bumper profit

In the week under review, the market capitalization of Reliance Industries increased by Rs 63,259.05 crore to reach Rs 17,42,415.47 crore. The market capitalization of Hindustan Unilever increased by Rs 18,737.99 crore to reach Rs 6,38,019.76 crore. The market capitalization of ITC stood at Rs 5,63,237.76 crore with a jump of Rs 18,331.32 crore.

Bharti Airtel and Infosys earned well

The valuation of IT company Infosys climbed by Rs 11,059.41 crore to reach Rs 5,36,433.55 crore. Bharti Airtel’s market cap rose by Rs 2,016.08 crore to Rs 4,66,412.79 crore and that of HDFC rose by Rs 299.97 crore to reach Rs 4,89,496.34 crore.

The market cap of these companies decreased

In contrast to the trend, the market capitalization of TCS declined by Rs 12,879.86 crore to Rs 11,61,840.29 crore and that of SBI declined by Rs 6,514.97 crore to Rs 5,09,863.08 crore. HDFC Bank’s market cap declined by Rs 4,722.95 crore to Rs 8,95,458.57 crore. ICICI Bank’s valuation declined by Rs 1,882.67 crore to Rs 6,53,980.16 crore.

Reliance Industries retained the first position

Reliance Industries continued to hold the top position among the top 10 Sensex companies, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Infosys, SBI, HDFC and Bharti Airtel respectively.
