Stock Market Closing On 3rd February 2023: On the last trading day of the week, the Indian stock market closed at a brisk pace. Due to the buying of investors in banking stocks, this boom has been seen in the market. The Sensex has again crossed the 60,000 mark. At the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex closed at 60841 with a gain of 909 points and the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed at 17,854 points with a gain of 243 points.

In today’s business, the biggest gainer was seen in banking stocks, Bank Nifty again closed at 41,499 points with a gain of 2.04 per cent or 830 points. Apart from banking, sectors like auto, IT, FMCG, infra, consumer durables have seen a boom. Whereas the shares of Oil & Gas, Healthcare, Energy, Media, Real Estate, Metals and Pharma sectors have seen a decline. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 27 stocks closed with gains while only 3 stocks closed down. Whereas, out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 38 stocks closed with a boom and 12 stocks closed with a decline.

In today’s trade, Adani Ports 7.87 per cent, Titan Company 6.72 per cent, Bajaj Finance 5.19 per cent, Bajaj Finserv 5.15 per cent, HDFC Bank 3.36 per cent, HDFC 3.11 per cent, Eicher Motors 3.09 per cent, SBI 3.05 per cent, UPL closed with a gain of 2.77 per cent. Among the fallers, Divi’s Lab closed with a decline of 11.71 per cent, BPCL 1.66 per cent, Tata Consumer 1.43 per cent, Hindalco 1.14 per cent, NTPC 0.81 per cent, HDFC Life 0.77 per cent.

Due to the boom in the stock market, there has been an increase in the wealth of the investors. The market cap of the listed stocks on BSE closed with a jump of Rs 266.73 lakh crore.
