Something similar happened with Anoop, an auto driver from Thiruvananthapuram. The fate of the auto driver turned such that he became a millionaire overnight. Actually, the auto driver has won the first prize of Rs 25 crore in the Kerala Onam Raffle. Vijeta Anoop lives in Srivaraham with his wife, a child and mother. The Onam bumper raffle of 2021 was also hosted by an autorickshaw driver Jaipalan P.R. had won.

Anoop had taken the ticket for victory from a local agent near the Pazhavangadi Ganpati temple. According to Bhagwati agencies, Anoop had taken the ticket from his close family member Sujaya, who was a sub-agent of the agency. After deducting tax and other dues, Anoop will get Rs 15 crore as prize money.

Anup, an auto rickshaw driver who won the Rs 25 crore Onam bumper lottery in Kerala, was preparing to move to Malaysia to work as a chef. Anoop, a resident of Srivaram here, had bought a lottery ticket (T-750605) on Saturday, a day before winning the lottery. The funny thing is that his application for a loan of Rs 3 lakh was approved a day earlier. Anoop told the media persons present at the agency from where he had bought the lottery ticket that ‘T-750605’ was not his first choice.

Been buying lottery tickets for 22 years
He said that he did not like the first ticket he had bought, so he took the second ticket and won. Regarding Malaysia travel and loan, Anoop said, “The bank called for loan today, then I told that I do not need the loan anymore. Now I will not go to Malaysia either.” He said that he has been buying lottery tickets for the last 22 years and till now he had received from a few hundred rupees to a maximum of five thousand rupees.

He said, “I didn’t expect to win so I didn’t watch lottery results on TV. But when I looked at my phone, I knew I had won. I couldn’t believe it and I showed it to my wife. She said that It’s a winning number.” Anoop said, “Still I was skeptical so I sent the picture of the ticket to the lady who sold the lottery. She confirmed that it was the winning number.” After paying the tax from the money won, Anoop will get around Rs 15 crore.

The second winner got Rs 5 crore
The second prize of Rs 5 crore was won from a ticket sold by an agent at Pala in Kottayam district. However, the agent told the media persons that he does not remember the details or information of the award winner as he has poor memory.
