Significance of Jagannath Yatra

This journey starts from the main gate of Jagannath temple every year and lasts for three months in the whole city. This journey is considered very important in terms of devotion and religious importance. Lakhs of devotees participate in this. It is believed that all the wishes of those who take part in this yatra with true spirit are fulfilled. All the sufferings of a person go away just by seeing this yatra and he attains salvation. The virtue of participating in Jagannathji’s Rath Yatra is considered equal to hundred yagyas.
