DU Admissions 2022: For admission process in Delhi University (DU) A series of public webinars is being organized. The objective of this webinar is to inform the students about the process of registering for undergraduate admission, listing of their colleges and preferences. Last week The fourth day of the series discussed the reservation policies for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS and PWBD candidates and made the students aware of the same.
This webinar has been named ‘Reservation Policies and Related Aspects’. Whatever the policy is for the admission of reserved seats to be held under CUET, it was discussed. All the policies will be told, so that the students do not face any kind of problem.
Regarding the admission of reserved seats, Deputy Registrar Rohan Rai and Dean (Admissions) Hanit Gandhi told the students that you should know that the reservation criteria in DU is given based on the provisions laid down by the Indian Constitution. The policies implemented by the central government are followed. There is a reservation of 15% for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST candidates, 27% for OBC candidates and 10% for EWS categories. Admission will be given only after the candidates will have valid documents.
Know what are the necessary documents
To take advantage of reservation, it is necessary to have a caste certificate. The candidate should have caste/tribe certificate in his/her name at the time of registration and admission. The prescribed certificate format should be followed for all categories. If you have the documents then you can get the facility like reservation by the government. Earlier those who used to make their certificate had to go to the government office and make their certificate. But now all the state governments have issued this facility online.
