Joginder Sharma Retirement: All-rounder Joginder Sharma, who played a key role in Team India’s victory in the final of the 2007 T20 World Cup, has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on 3 February. Batting first in the final match, the Indian team scored 157 runs at the loss of 5 wickets. After this, the Pakistani team chasing the target got reduced to 152 runs in 19.3 overs.
Joginder Sharma posted on social media and informed everyone about his retirement. He wrote in his post that the years 2002 to 2017 have been the most special years of my life. Where I got a chance to represent the Indian team. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the BCCI, Haryana, Chennai Super Kings and the Haryana Government.
Sharma further wrote that I would also like to thank my teammates, support staff and fans who have constantly supported me during the ups and downs of my career. Now I will try to contribute on other options available against cricket.
