Sources say that Pegatron may invest around $150 million on setting up the proposed plant in Chennai. He also claimed that the latest iPhones will be assembled at Pegatron’s new plant.

Foxconn has got approval

Earlier, Reuters had reported that Foxconn, a Taiwanese company that manufactures all other electronics products including iPhone for Apple, is going to set up a plant in Karnataka with an investment of $ 967.91 million, which has been approved by the state government.
