So far he has played 97 Test matches and in these he has scored runs at a batting average of 44.76. In his 12-year international Test career, he has scored 19 centuries.

Pujara scored a century in the last test
Cheteshwar Pujara completed his 19th century in the last Test against Bangladesh in Chittagong. As soon as he scored this century, he equaled the record of 19 Test centuries by Ross Taylor (New Zealand), Gordon Greenidge (West Indies), Clive Lloyd (West Indies) and Mike Hussey (Australia). Pujara also had a chance to leave behind these four giants in the last Test. Actually, Pujara was dismissed for 90 runs in the first innings of this match.

Eighth Indian to score the most Test runs
Cheteshwar Pujara is on the eighth position in the list of scoring the most Test runs for India. Ahead of him are Sourav Ganguly (7212), Virat Kohli (8094), Virender Sehwag (8586), VVS Laxman (8781), Sunil Gavaskar (10122), Rahul Dravid (13288) and Sachin Tendulkar (15921).
