NAAC Grading For Colleges & Universities: NAAC i.e. National Assessment and Accreditation Council gives grading to educational institutions. The quality of the colleges is decided on the basis of this. Recently, NAAC grading again came into limelight when a university in UP got NAAC grading. This is the first time that NAAC grading has been given to any university in Uttar Pradesh. CM of UP Yogi Adityanath congratulated Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology on getting NAAC grading and shared the message on Twitter. Know what is NAAC grading and how it can be obtained and what are the rules for it.
How does NAAC grading work?
The job of NAAC i.e. National Assessment and Accreditation Council is to test the quality of universities, higher education institutes and private institutes across the country and give them ratings. According to the new guidelines issued by UGC, it is necessary for all educational institutions to get recognition from NAAC. If any institution does not take recognition from here, then it does not get the benefit of any government policy.
how to get grading
College, University or any other higher education institution applies for NAAC grading after fulfilling all the criteria. After the application, the team of NAAC comes to the institute and inspects it. During this, they examine various aspects like educational facilities, infrastructure, college atmosphere. If the team of NAAC is satisfied, then the college is given CGPA on the same basis, on the basis of which the grade is given later.
valid for so many years
Once NAAC grading is received, it is valid for four years. Rating is given again after four years. There is also a system of temporary grading in NAAC, in which grading is given for two years. If any college or university is not happy with the grade, then after 6 months it can apply for the grade again.
During this, they have to remove their shortcomings and apply again with a fee of ten thousand rupees. But this type of grading is valid only for two years. Before admission, students can find out what grade that college has got.
