HDFC Bank Loan Costly: HDFC Bank, the country’s largest private bank, has increased the loan offered under the Marginal Cost of Lending Rate (MCLR). Under this, its interest rates have been increased by up to 0.25 percent on Monday. HDFC’s new rates have come into effect from January 7 and Indian Overseas Bank’s increased MCLR rates have come into effect from January 10. Apart from HDFC Bank, Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has also increased its MCLR and its loans have become costlier from January 10 i.e. from today.
How much did HDFC Bank’s MCLR increase?
HDFC Bank has increased its MCLR rates by 0.25 percent from 8.60 percent to 8.85 percent. According to the HDFC Bank website, the one-day MCLR rate has been increased from 8.30 per cent to 8.50 per cent, while the one-month MCLR has been increased to 8.55 per cent from 8.30 per cent earlier. At the same time, the one-year MCLR has been increased by 0.25 percent to 8.85 percent, which was earlier 8.60 percent. The two-year MCLR will increase from 8.70 per cent to 8.95 per cent, the three-year MCLR will increase from 8.80 per cent to 9.05 per cent now.
How much has the MCLR of Indian Overseas Bank increased?
Indian Overseas Bank has also increased its MCLR rates for different periods. IOB informed the stock exchanges that its loan rates have now increased from 7.70 per cent to 8.45 per cent.
IDFC First Bank also increased the landing rates
IDFC First Bank has also made its loan rates costlier and has increased its MCLR from 0.15 per cent to 0.20 per cent. Due to this, the MCLR rates of bank banks have come in the range of 8.40-9.50 per cent.
