  • 150 grams of soyabean lentils
  • Onion-2 finely chopped
  • tomato one chopped
  • Green chili paste ½ cup
  • 1 inch piece of ginger
  • a handful of coriander leaves
  • Turmeric powder half teaspoon
  • Red chili powder one teaspoon
  • a pinch of asafoetida
  • salt to taste

Soybean Dal Recipe

  • To make soyabean lentils, first soak the lentils in water for about 4 hours.
  • When the water in the dal dries well, put two glasses of water in the cooker and cook till 6 whistles.
  • Now put onions and tomatoes in a mixer blender and make a paste.
  • Now heat 5 spoons of ghee in a pan and roast mustard seeds and cumin seeds in it.
  • Now add onion tomato paste and fry for 2 minutes, then add turmeric powder, coriander powder, grated ginger and green chili paste and cook it well.
  • When the aroma starts coming, add boiled soyabean pulse and cook it for some time and cook it after adding salt and a spoonful of red chillies according to taste.
  • When the dal starts boiling, take it out in a bowl and serve it garnished with coriander leaves.
