Since April 2022, there has been a steady increase in the number of new members of EPFO becoming a member. Of the 10.58 lakh new members who have become members of EPFO for the first time, 57.69 percent are people between 18 and 25 years. This means that the first job people are associated with EPFO.
In the month of July, 4.07 lakh members have exited from EPFO. And 11.72 lakh people first exited and later became EPFO members again. In July 2022, there has been an increase of 34.84 percent in the number of women workforce in the organized sector who have become members of EPFO.
According to the data, more people are associated with EPFO in Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh than last month. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Haryana and Delhi continue to lead. These states have added 12.46 lakh members during July 2022.
