Jasprit Bumrah Replacement: Before the T20 World Cup, the Indian team has suffered a major setback. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been officially out of this tournament. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed this while issuing its statement. The BCCI has told that soon they will also announce the replacement of Bumrah. Bumrah’s exit from the tournament like this is a big blow for India. After Bumrah’s exit, the discussion about his option has started. According to Revsportz, either Mohammed Shami or Deepak Chahar can be declared as the substitute of Bumrah.
Both Shami and Deepak are part of India’s standby list for the World Cup. Deepak is playing for India in the series against South Africa and his performance in both the matches played so far has been excellent. On the other hand, Shami is out of the field due to corona infection. Shami has not played cricket for more than two months. He was about to return from the series against Australia, but due to being Corona positive, he could not return till now. Shami’s report has come negative and he will join the Indian team soon.
Bumrah has had a stress reaction, which will take him four to six weeks to recover. Earlier reports claimed that he suffered a stress fracture.
