UPI and RuPay Payment: You pay through Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and RuPay card in India. Till now you could not use it in the countries of Europe. For which Indian tourists had to face a lot of trouble, but now you can pay with UPI and RuPay card in any country of Europe.
NPCI partnered
Recently National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has tied up with French payment-transaction firm Worldline to enable Indian digital payment mode in Europe. After which you can do QR Code-Based Payment for Point-of-Sale (POS) payment and UPI (UPI) transactions with RuPay card.
Facility started in these countries
After a few months of efforts by NPCI, RuPay card and UPI have opened the way to pay for transactions. NPCI has partnered with banks and payment companies in many countries like Oman, Saudi Arabia, France. UPI facility will be made available for Indian citizens in these countries.

On the other hand, NPCI already has partnership with Nepal, Bhutan, Singapore and United Arab Emirates. In some of these countries, the partnership is for UPI only, while in some RuPay cards work at POS terminals.
So many Indian tourists go abroad
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the matter is being aggressively pursued during meetings with foreign dignitaries. For now, the focus is mostly on countries that receive a large number of Indian tourists, or have a large diaspora. In 2019, over 25 million Indian tourists visited abroad, spending over USD 23 billion.
