Disney+ Hotstar Dolby Atmos: Disney+ Hotstar has introduced Dolby Atmos Audio for users of its mobile and TV apps. With this, Disney+ joins Hotstar, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV+ along with companies providing Dolby Atmos audio. With Dolby Atmos sound, it seems that the sound is coming from all around, which can be heard well with headphones and earphones.
Disney+ Hotstar has rolled out Dolby Atmos for titles like Home Shanti, Rudra: The Age of Darkness, Arya, Ghar Wapsi, and Vikram. After this, all new songs will now come with Dolby Atmos support on Hotstar specials and multiplexes. Dolby Atmos is the technology that makes the voice of a character in the film sound wonderfully from all around.
Ashim Mathur, Senior Regional Director, Dolby Laboratories said, “At Dolby, our sole focus is to provide our customers with immersive audio-visual experiences. We are excited to partner with Disney+ Hotstar in this category of combined Dolby Vision and now Dolby Atmos audio technology for TVs, AVRs, soundbars and smartphones, he added.
“We are delighted to add Dolby Atmos Audio to further enhance the best-in-class entertainment experience on Disney+Hotstar,” said Siddha Mantri, Head of Product-Developing Markets, Disney Streaming. With the introduction of Dolby Atmos Audio on the platform, Disney+ Hotstar now offers two Dolby Technics, including Dolby Vision for better picture quality.
