100 real estate developers are participating in the 30th property exhibition of CREDAI, Maharashtra Chamber of Housing which will run from October 13 to October 16, 2022 at Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. Startup Zapkey has tied up for this exhibition of CREDAI, Maharashtra Chamber of Housing. Under this deal, Zapkey will pay a token amount to new home buyers in exchange for their old house. Zapkey is guaranteeing to sell the used home within 90 days. In return, homebuyers will have to upgrade and buy a new house from real estate companies that are participating in this property fair.
According to Zapkey, it has launched the Home Upgrade Program in which it guarantees to sell the old house at a better price and will help the property sellers to buy a new home. Zapkey has tied up with CREDAI, Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Society for this. According to Zapkey, he takes a guarantee to sell the old house in 90 days. And if it fails to sell, the company itself will buy the property. Or else the advance given by the company to the homebuyer can be forfeited. And if the homebuyer backs out, the developer can forfeit the tokam money.
Zapkey will pay Rs 1 lakh as token money for a house costing more than Rs 1 crore and Rs 50,000 as token money for a house less than Rs 1 crore. The company will not give priority to houses older than 20 years. But if the building is in good condition and there will be demand for it, then the company can consider that property. Zapkey will charge a brokerage charge of 2 per cent on selling the old house. Also, a brokerage charge of 2 per cent will have to be paid on the sale of the new property.
