And listen to them. Use words of encouragement and support in your conversation with them. Make them feel that they are not alone.
Motivate them to seek expert help: Just as support from friends and family is essential for people with depression, they also need mental health professionals or experts. Encourage people suffering from depression to seek help from experts.
Help them with everyday tasks: In depression, people often become so weak and energyless that they cannot even do many basic tasks, which they usually used to enjoy. You can also encourage them to engage in activities that bring them joy.
