IND vs AUS Ahmedabad Test: In the fourth Test match to be played between India and Australia, a big change will be seen in Team India. The return of veteran fast bowler Mohammed Shami in the team is believed to be certain. Captain Rohit Sharma can take such a decision after the crushing defeat in Indore.
According to news agency PTI, Mohammed Shami will return in the fourth Test match to be played in Ahmedabad. Keeping in mind the final of the World Test Championship, the fourth Test match for Team India will be of ‘do or die’. Team India can make it to the finals of the World Test Championship only by winning this match. If the Indian team loses the fourth match as well, then the team will have to depend on the result of the Test series to be played between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. The first match of the two-Test series to be played between the two will be played from March 9.
Why didn’t Shami play in the second test?
Mohammed Shami was not a part of Team India in the third Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He was given rest due to workload management. Shami was part of Team India in both the Test matches played in Nagpur and Delhi. Mohammed Shami is also included in the squad for the ODI series to be held after the Test, due to which he was rested from the third Test and Umesh Yadav was included in the team.
Team India did not give instructions regarding the pitch
The third Test match played in Indore ended on the third day itself. The track at Holkar Stadium was described as ‘Poor Track’ by ICC match referee Chris Board. No instructions have been given by the Indian team management regarding the pitch of the fourth Test match.
Speaking to PTI, a Gujarat Cricket Association official said, “We have not received any instructions from the Indian team management and our local curators are making normal pitches, as we have always done during the season.”
