Vacancy Details

According to the recruitment notification issued by the Department of Posts, a total of 188 posts will be recruited under this recruitment process. Under these recruitment process, 71 posts of Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant, 56 posts of Postman and 6 posts of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) will be recruited. According to the notice, the postal department will prepare the list of shortlisted candidates and release it on 6 December 2022.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates willing to apply for the posts of Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant, Postman and MTS in the Department of Posts should have passed 12th / 10th examination. For the posts of Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant should be 12th pass. Also, 60 days computer certificate course should also be done. On the other hand, for the post of postman, mail guard, you should have 12th pass and should have knowledge of local language. Must have at least 60 days computer certificate course. MTS- 10th pass with knowledge of local language.

Age Range

The minimum age limit of the candidates applying for these posts should be 18 years and maximum age limit should be 27 years for any post and 25 years for any post. Age will be calculated from 25 November 2021. Candidates belonging to various reserved categories will be given relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules of the Central Government. In addition to these, candidates should have participated in International / National / Inter-University etc. related to sports prescribed for Postal Department Sports Quota Recruitment.
