Royal Challengers Bangalore Player Security Breach: Indian Premier League In the 16th season of (IPL), a major lapse has come to light in the security of the players of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team. Police arrested 3 notorious history-sheeters from the hotel in Chandigarh where the players of the RCB team, who had reached Mohali to play against Punjab Kings (PBKS), were lodged. Cases have been registered against these three in many serious sections including murder.
On 20 April, the match was played between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. According to the news of Dainik Bhaskar, when the police interrogated the arrested history-sheeters, they told that they wanted to be photographed with the players. SHO Rohtash Yadav of IT Park police station is now probing the matter from betting angle as well.
The three criminals arrested by the police in this case have cases registered against them in many serious cases including firing. The police got information about these three after checking the guest list staying in the hotel, after which all three were arrested by the IT Park Police as a preventive action.
The RCB team was accommodated on the 5th floor of the hotel.
The players of Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore team were accommodated on the 5th floor of this hotel in Chandigarh. After arresting these three, the police also conducted a search operation in the entire hotel, in which a car was also recovered from the criminals. However, nothing was recovered from their hotel rooms. The history-sheeters had booked their room on the third floor of the hotel, from where the police arrested them.
