In view of rising mercury in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, summer vacations have been extended. Earlier the schools were to open here from June 16, but in view of the rising temperature and rains, it has been pushed ahead. Now the schools will remain closed here till June 19. If there is no improvement in the weather then it can be extended further. Schools will open here from June 20.
Same goes for other cities
Instructions have also been given here that no school should be opened before June 19. All the schools in the district have been closed till this date. Before this, summer vacations were extended in UP as well. The schools here had a holiday till June 15, which has now been extended to June 26. However, on June 21, on the occasion of Yoga Day, schools will be opened here for one day.
Schools closed due to heat wave in Jharkhand
In Jharkhand, schools from class 1 to 12 have been closed for three days to save children from the scorching heat and heat stroke. Here all the schools will remain closed from 12 to 14 June. The Meteorological Department believes that the weather will remain like this for a few days.
