Jio and Airtel 5G Speed in India : Ookla has presented a new report regarding 5G speed, according to which the average 5G download speed on the test network in India has reached 500Mbps. According to the news, Jio has defeated Airtel in terms of 5G speed in the national capital, in which Airtel reached the speed of 197.98Mbps while Jio has achieved the speed of 598.58Mbps. Ookla has submitted the 5G average download speeds of both the telcos since June 2022 in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Varanasi as well as in four metros. Airtel and Jio 5G download speed
According to the Ookla report, Jio has been ahead of Airtel in terms of average download speed in Mumbai. There the speed of Airtel was measured at 271.07Mbps, while the speed of Jio was 515.38Mbps. In Varanasi, the speed of Airtel was seen slightly higher than that of Jio. In Varanasi, Jio’s 5G speed was 485.22Mbps and Airtel’s speed was 516.57Mbps. In Kolkata too, a big difference was seen in the speed of both the telecom companies. Airtel’s speed was 33.83Mbps in Kolkata, while Jio’s speed was seen at 482.02Mbps.
Airtel and Jio 5G Rollout Plans
Airtel first introduced 5G network (5G network) on October 1 in eight cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Chennai, Nagpur and Bangalore. Along with it also said that by March 2024, 5G network will be launched all over India.
