If you want to check PM Jan Dhan account balance without internet, then you can check balance through missed call. State Bank allows its account holders to check balance by missed call. To check balance, you can make a missed call on 18004253800 or 1800112211 from your registered mobile number. After two minutes, you will get the account balance on your mobile via SMS.
Account holders will get 10,000 overdraft facility
On behalf of the central government, customers get the facility of overdraft of full Rs 10,000 on Jan Dhan account. Even if you do not have balance in your account, you can still take an overdraft up to Rs 10,000. Earlier this amount used to be Rs 5000, which has been increased by the government to 10,000. The maximum age limit for overdraft facility in this account is 65 years.
How to check your Jan Dhan account balance on PFMS portal
Account holders of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan account can check their account balance in two ways. First through PFMS portal and second through missed call. If you want to check the balance of your PM Jan Dhan account on PFMS portal, then first click on the link https://pfms.nic.in/NewDefaultHome.aspx#. Then here you will see Know Your Payment option. Click on it. Here you will be asked to enter your account number. After this, the given captcha has to be filled and click on Send OTP on Registered Mobile Number. OTP will come on your registered mobile number, enter it. After this you will see the account balance on your screen.
