National Sports Awards 2022 Dronacharya Award: The National Sports and Adventure Award 2022 was organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday. Meanwhile the President Draupadi Murmu Gave awards to players and coaches associated with many sports. He honored racing coach Raj Singh with the Dronacharya Award. Along with Raj Singh, boxing coach Mohammad Ali Qamar, para shooting coach Suma Siddharth Shirur and racing coach Sujit Mann were also honored with this award. All of them have contributed significantly to their respective sports. Due to his important contribution, Indian players have been able to perform strongly on the international platform.
Wrestling coach Raj Singh was given the Dronacharya Award for his significant contribution. He has prepared about 70 wrestlers for India and his prepared wrestlers have brought medals for the country. Raj Singh has produced many wrestlers including Olympic medalist Yogeshwar Dutt, Asian Games medalist Mausam Khatri, Pradeep, Ravindra Bhura and Yudhveer. Under his guidance, Indian wrestlers have brought laurels to the country in wrestling.
India’s boxing coach Mohammad Ali Qamar has also been honored with the Dronacharya Award. He has given training to Sakshi, Jasmine, Lovlina and Simranjit. Para shooting coach Suma Siddharth Shirur has also been honored with this award. She has done an important responsibility for the country.
The President also gave the Arjuna Award. He honored boxer Nikhat Zareen, chess player R Praggnananda, badminton player Lakshya and Pranay SH with this award. Nikhat has given strong performances for the country on many occasions. He won the gold medal in the World Championship. She has also won gold in Commonwealth Games 2022.
