Sangeeta Phogat Hungary Ranking Series: Female wrestler Sangeeta Phogat, who performed at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, hoisted the tricolor in Hungary. Sangeeta defeated Viktoria Borsos of Hungary in the third-fourth place match at the Ranking Series Wrestling Championship in Budapest. With this victory, Sangeeta won the bronze medal. He won in the 59 kg category.

Sangeeta defeated her Hungarian wrestler 6-2 in the third-fourth place match. Sangeeta takes the lead with a takedown move. But after this the Hungarian wrestler equalized the score at 2-2. Sangeet then played an aggressive game and won.

Sangeeta is the wife of Olympic medalist wrestler Bajrang Punia. She was recently involved in the demonstration at Jantar Mantar. Sangeeta started her campaign with a crushing defeat from Jennifer Page Rogers of the United States. But after this reached the semi-finals through the repechage round.

She bounced back by defeating American wrestler Brenda Olivia Reyna in the third round, 12–2, to win by technical superiority (VSU1). Sangeeta took an aggressive approach from the start and took a 4-2 lead with quick moves and won the match on the basis of technical superiority. With the victory in the third round, Sangeeta got a place in the semi-finals but she could not progress further in the finals.

Sangeeta lost her semi-final match against Magdalena Urszula Gloder of Poland by 4-6 points, but bounced back in the third-fourth place match to win the bronze medal.
