WPL: Race is on between these batsmen for Orange Cap, know who are the top-3 in the race for Purple Cap

WPL: A total of 22 matches are to be played in this first season of the Women’s Premier League. There have been 11 matches here so far. That means 50% of the matches of the tournament have been played. Like IPL, in WPL too, the orange cap is adorned on the head of the lead run scorer, while the bowler with the most wickets has a purple cap. At present, after this halfway tournament, Orange Cap is occupied by Australia’s Meg Lanning and Purple Cap by Indian spinner Saika Ishaq. Top-3 run scorer in WPL

• Number-1: Australian batsman and Delhi Capitals captain Meg Lanning is currently the highest run-scorer in WPL. She has scored 221 runs in 5 innings at an average of 55.25 and a strike rate of 138.99. He has the Orange Cap.
• Number-2: The second lead scorer of WPL is also from Australia. RCB’s Ellyse Perry has scored 195 runs in 5 innings at an average of 48.75 and a strike rate of 137.32.
• Number-3: Australia’s wicket-keeper batsman and UP Warriors captain Alyssa Healy has scored 185 runs in 4 innings at an average of 61.66 and a blazing strike rate of 156.77.

• Number-1: Indian spinner Saika Ishaq of Mumbai Indians has taken 12 wickets in 4 matches at a bowling average of 6.91 and an economy rate of 5.85. Purple cap is adorned on his head.
