The month of Sawan is dedicated to Lord Shiva. According to religious scriptures, after Devshayani Ekadashi, the protector of the world, Shri Hari Vishnu ji goes into Yog Nidra in Kshir Sagar. In such a situation, only Lord Shiva manages the universe during Chaturmas. It is believed that those who worship Lord Shiva in the month of Sawan, all their troubles go away. The festival of Hariyali Teej is celebrated in Sawan for a happy married life and getting a suitable groom. At the same time, there is also a law to worship Shri Krishna in Sawan. Lord Krishna is worshiped in the form of Dwarkadhish in Sawan.

Bhadrapada 2023 – 1st September 2023 – 29th September 2023

From the Ashtami date of the Krishna Paksha of the month of Savan to the Ashtami of Bhadrapada Krishna Paksha, the worship of Shri Krishna is considered special. Shri Krishna was born in Bhadrapada itself, worshiping Kanha on Janmashtami gives materialistic pleasures. On the other hand, the birth anniversary of Gauri’s son Ganesh is celebrated on the Chaturthi date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada. This festival lasts for 10 days which is called Ganesh Utsav.

Ashwin 2023 – 30 September 2023 – 28 October 2023

The month of Ashwin is dedicated to Pitra and Goddess Durga. 16 Shradhs are performed in the month of Ashwin. In these days, by performing tarpan, pindadan, shraadh rituals for the ancestors, the souls of the ancestors get satisfaction, with their blessings, the descendants never suffer. Sharadiya Navratri is celebrated for 9 days from the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month.

Karthik 2023 – 29 October 2023 – 27 November 2023

Mother Lakshmi and Vishnu are specially worshiped in the month of Kartik. Bathing has special significance in the month of Kartik. It is said that all the sins of a person are washed away by this. Diwali, Bhai Dooj, Dhanteras, Devuthani Ekadashi, Tulsi Vivah, Dev Diwali are celebrated in the month of Kartik.
