Big news related to the country’s IT sector giant Wipro is coming. Wipro has offered to pay less salary to its fresher candidates applying for the job. After this offer, all the candidates are getting very worried. Know why this happened and what is the whole matter ..
Company sent mail to candidates
According to Business Standard, Wipro Company has sent an email to its new candidates in this regard. For example, the company has sent an email to candidates with a package of Rs 6.5 lakh per annum (LPA), who were waiting for onboarding. In this email, the candidates have been asked whether they will join the job at a salary of 3.5 LPA. Wipro has faced a delay of several months in the onboarding of its 2022 batch graduates. Now the company has decided to offer lower salary to the candidates who were earlier offered jobs on higher salary. The new candidates are very angry about this.
what the company wrote in the email
The company has said in an e-mail to the candidates that, like others in our industry, we assess the global economic and customer needs, our hiring depends on this. We do our best to identify the right opportunities for you. We currently have vacancies for a few Project Engineer roles at a package of 3.5 LPA. We want to give opportunity to all our graduates to opt for these jobs in FY23 batch. If a candidate opts for this offer, he/she will be onboarded from March 2023 and all the offers before that will be deemed to have lapsed.
No promise on joining
The company said that, we are encouraging you to take advantage of this opportunity. If a candidate does not accept this offer, he/she can continue with his/her original offer. The company said that, we cannot make any promise regarding the date of joining, as our recruitment plan is decided on the basis of the current economic environment.
Candidate getting angry
After this email all the candidates are almost getting angry. The candidate is saddened by this decision of the company. The new candidate has long awaited offer at 6.5 LPA. Now the company is offering him Rs 3.5 lakh, so why was he made to wait. Any other company could have given them this offer. But what is the point of giving half the offer by waiting. Candidates with a package of 6.5 LPA, who were waiting to be onboarded, have suddenly received an email from Wipro on 16 February 2023. In this email, they have been given the option to choose a low-paying job.
