Apple USB-C Port: After the new rule of European Union, Apple said yes to give USB-C port in iPhone. This is also good news for the users. Now if a person switches from Android to iPhone, then he will not have to buy a separate charger. This will save money and e-waste will also not increase. But, what about the rest of Apple’s products? What will happen after getting USB-C in iPhone, if other products will be charged with Lightning to USB cable only. In this case, you will still have to buy a separate charger. To give some relief from these questions, MacRumours has presented a report.
What does the latest report say?
It is rumored that after the iPhone, Apple is planning to bring USB Type-C port for its EarPods. According to a report by MacRumours, EarPods with USB-C connector are being mass produced. The report cited a tweet shared by leakster ShrimpApplePro as its source. The tweet read, “USB-C MFI cables and EarPods have been in mass production for quite some time now”
USB Type-C port will be available in iPhone 15
This year, all four iPhone 15 models from Apple are expected to come with USB Type-C port instead of Lightning port. Now there is also a possibility that the USB Type-C port can be adopted for other Apple accessories as well. MacRumours reports that the new EarPods will connect directly to the USB-C port of the iPhone 15 model without an adapter.
What is Apple Earpods?
Apple Earpods are wired earphones offered by the company. They currently come with either a Lightning connector or a 3.5mm headphone jack. There is no problem with wireless, but Apple has created a lot of problems for wired earphones users. Talking about the price, they cost around $19 (₹1,599).
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also claimed that other accessories such as the AirPods charging case, MagSafe battery pack and the Magic keyboard/trackpad/mouse trio will switch to USB-C in the future as well.
