Omicron BF.7 Variant: The situation in China, which is facing the brunt of increasing cases of Corona, is becoming uncontrollable day by day. Everyday hundreds of people are getting infected by BF.7 variant of Kovid-19. It is also being said that thousands of people are dying daily due to infection in China. The BF.7 variant has become a cause of concern not only in China but in many other countries as well. This variant is spreading so fast that people are not even able to understand when and how they came in contact with this virus. Four cases of this variant have also come to light in India. Although the situation is a million times better than China. Now the question is till when? Will the BF.7 variant lead to the arrival of the fourth wave in India? Do Indians need to be scared?
During the Corona epidemic, when the infection was spreading rapidly in many countries of the world, China had controlled the cases under the ‘Zero Covid Policy’. The situation there was under control to a great extent, but in many countries, Corona was wreaking havoc. However, now the knock of BF.7 variant in China has increased the difficulties of many countries. This is a matter of great concern for India as well. But experts say that the BF.7 variant is not a matter of ‘tension’ for India at the moment. Although there is a possibility that cases will be seen increasing in the coming days, but this situation will not prove to be as dangerous as it is being seen in China. Many experts believe that there is no danger of fourth wave in India.
Why is there no danger of fourth wave in India?
1. Actually India has faced three terrible waves of Corona. Lakhs of Indian people have been infected with different variants and have suffered its effect, due to which their immune system has now become very strong in the case of corona. While China did not face the horrific waves of Corona like India because of its ‘Zero Covid Policy’. This is the reason that the immunity of the people there is not able to digest the corona.
2. According to experts, most Indians now have hybrid immunity. That is, he has acquired immunity through vaccination. BF.7 is a sub-variant of Omicron, whose symptoms are also similar to the rest of the Corona variants. Experts said that most of the Omicron cases were seen in the third wave in India and a large part of the population has been immunized against the virus.
3. About 95 percent of India’s population is vaccinated. While the percentage of those taking both doses is 88. A large section of the eligible population has also received the third dose. While the population of China was not yet fully exposed to the infection. The Chinese authorities did not even make good use of the time by vaccinating the elderly. Therefore, people are increasingly coming in contact with the virus there, especially the elderly population. Although the vaccination coverage in India is very high, so there is no danger of the fourth wave at the moment.
