Amul Milk Price Hike Plan: There is relief news for the common people on National Milk Day. RS Sodhi, MD of Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), an organization that sells milk under the Amul brand, says that there is no plan to increase the prices of milk. However, before this, in the middle of October, the prices of milk were increased in other states except Gujarat. At the same time, Mother Dairy has also increased the prices of milk this week.
In a reply to PTI, GCMMF MD RS Sodhi said that there has not been a significant increase in input prices after October. In such a situation, it is not being considered to increase the prices of milk. Significantly, the Amul company sells about 150 lakh liters of milk every day in Delhi-NCR, West Bengal and Mumbai, out of which only Delhi NCR sells 40 lakh milk.
Milk prices increased in October
Amul had increased the prices of milk in all the states of the country except Gujarat. In the middle of October, the prices of both Amul Gold and buffalo milk were increased by Rs 2 per litre. Amul had increased the price of full cream milk from Rs 61 to Rs 63, while the price of buffalo milk has been increased from Rs 63 to Rs 65. Amul has increased the price of milk thrice this year.
Mother Dairy increased the price four times this year
Mother Dairy had increased the prices of milk earlier this week. The company had increased the price of full cream milk by Rs 1 per liter and buffalo milk by Rs 2 per liter in Delhi NCR. After this increase, the price of full cream milk has gone up to Rs 64 per liter and that of token milk to Rs 50 per litre. Let us inform that Mother Dairy has increased the prices of milk 4 times so far this year. Mother Dairy supplies 30 lakh liters of milk every day in Delhi NCR.
