‘Long run-up is the reason for bowling no-balls’
Talking on Star Sports during the match, Mohammad Kaif said, ‘Arshdeep’s run-up is long, so he may have difficulty in stepping while throwing the ball. He is also wasting his energy by doing this. The main reason behind his no-balls is his long run-up. Then they change sides again and again. He sometimes bowls round the wicket and sometimes over the wicket. He needs to work on the fundamentals and be a little relaxed while bowling.
‘He kept bowling in the batsmen’s slot’
Sanjay Bangar also accepted this statement of Mohammad Kaif. He said, ‘His (Arshdeep) run-up is longer than necessary.’ Bangar also said that, ‘Arshdeep was not at all effective today. He is known for his wide yorkers which trouble the batsmen but today he bowled in the slot of the batsmen. He should think a little about his bowling technique and take a wise decision.
