Earlier, KL Rahul was made the vice-captain of the Indian Test team announced against Australia in December. But due to his poor form, the selectors removed him from the post of vice-captain. BCCI selectors announced Team India for the remaining two matches after the Test played in Delhi. In which the selectors did not choose any player for the post of vice-captain.
KL Rahul going through a bad phase
Indian Test team opener KL Rahul is currently going through bad form. He has not been able to do any special performance in Test matches for the last one year. If we look at the statistics, he has not been able to score a half-century in a Test match for the last one year. In the last 5 Test matches, KL Rahul could not score more than 23 runs in any innings. He last scored a half-century in a Test match in January 2022. Then in the Test match played against South Africa in Johannesburg, KL Rahul scored 50 runs in the first innings. Since then he has been a constant flop in Test cricket.
