The initial education of Gautam Buddha took place in the palace itself. But when he grew up a little, his father sent him to Guru Vishwamitra to get education. Buddha learned Vedas and Upanishads from Guru Vishwamitra. Gradually he became an ideal disciple.
Marriage of Gautam Buddha
After some time Buddha was married to Yashodhara, daughter of King Suppabuddha of Koliya dynasty. Buddha and Yashodhara also had a son, whose name was Rahul. But even after marriage, Buddha’s sense of disinterest was increasing and his interest in worldly pleasures was waning. In this way, one day Buddha left his wife and son and silently went towards the forest.
What was the reason for Buddha’s renunciation
Buddha wanted to connect with his soul. He was in search of divine knowledge. That’s why he had no attachment to home, family, property or anything else. Because he did not get spiritual pleasure in these things. Buddha started doing penance sitting under the Bodhi tree to find answers to the many questions going on in his mind and after 6 years he attained complete and divine knowledge. In this way he became Mahatma Gautama Buddha from Prince Siddhartha Gautama.
