It is believed that those who participate in this Rath Yatra get the result of performing hundred yagyas.
Devshayani Ekadashi – Among all the Ekadashis of the year, the Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of the month of Ashada i.e. Devshayani Ekadashi is considered very important. On this day Vishnu ji, the protector of the place, goes into yoga sleep and the burden of creation is on Lord Shankar. After Devshayani Ekadashi, auspicious works are banned for 4 months, because Chaturmas begins from this day.
