Eklavya School also known as Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) was established in the year 1997-98. These schools are specially made for Schedule Tribe students so that they can be provided better opportunities for education. These schools do not focus only on education but on over-all development. These schools come under the State Governments, which are funded by the Central Government for their establishment.

Eklavya School has a capacity of 480 students and students from class 6 to 8 can study here, that is, this school is from class 6 to 8. To increase the number of these schools, it was decided that by the end of the year 2022, every block which has 50 percent ST population and where at least 20 percent tribal population lives, there will be an EMRS i.e. Eklavya school.
