Suryakumar Yadav: In the last and deciding match of the three-match T20 series between India and Sri Lanka (IND vs SL), Suryakumar Yadav scored a blistering century. He played an unbeaten inning of 112 runs off 51 balls. Due to his innings, Team India batting first scored a huge score of 228 runs, in response to which the Lankan team was reduced to just 137 runs. With this victory, Team India also won the series 2-1. Suryakumar Yadav was elected ‘Player of the Match’. After the match, he reacted to his quick innings.
Suryakumar Yadav said, ‘When you are preparing for the game, it becomes important to keep the pressure on yourself. The more pressure you put on yourself, the better you can do. There is a lot of hard work involved here. Some quality practice sessions have also helped me. The back boundaries were 59-60 metres, so I kept trying to cross that boundary. There were some shots that were predetermined but you have to be ready to play other strokes the whole time. Most of the time I tried to find the gap and I used the field well while playing shots. Rahul Dravid gave me complete freedom to show my game.

Surya has scored three centuries in T20 cricket
This was Suryakumar Yadav’s third century in T20 cricket. All three times he completed his century in less than 50 balls. He is currently the number-1 batsman in the ICC T20 rankings. Last year, he was the only batsman who scored more than thousand runs in T20 cricket. So far Suryakumar has scored 1578 runs in 45 T20 Internationals at an amazing strike rate of 180.34.
